Exciting for the entire tongue! Nov 07, 2008
I *love* spicy food. No seriously if the food makes you sweat before you have even swallowed, I know I am in for a real treat. Well along that particular vector these will be sure to disappoint, unless of course you *LOVE* spicy food. It is not often that I would describe vegetables as coming alive and filling the entire mouth with flavor that borders on the physical. I have lived long enough to experience just that with these "hot and spicy" beans. Do not let the title fool you, these are not chinese mustard hot, but are made with red chili flakes that comes on a bit aggressively, but the burn never builds beyond the point of being a sharp attention getter. In fact, after getting your attention all the other blended spices come alive in your mouth, sweet, tangy, a hint of sour. You must note the phrase "hint of". Just as the chili is enough to get your attention, the hint of sour is what brings all the other flavors together. It is if you will the fuse to light the explosion of flavor in your mouth.
CAVEAT EMPTOR: I work in an office with a family member of the people who make these, but stand by my recommendation 100% as I tasted, savored, wrote this review, and order some to take home in the span of 30 minutes.

Discovered these hot and spicy beans while visiting Chateau St. Michelle in Seattle and love them! Also love the pickled asparagus, our 16 year old son eats them as snack food, better than junk food!!" Just placed an order to try the carrots and snappers!
